Portraits + Events
At the outset of my photographic journey, I sought chiefly to connect with the world beyond humanity’s grasp. However, it quickly became apparent that such a search can and does coexist with an interest in people. I love speaking to others, making people laugh, learning what motivates them, what’s important to them, and what drives them in this life. In many ways, we have more in common with respect to what matters most to us as individuals, than we differ.
If given the honor to take someone’s portrait, my goal is to share a moment with that person. Reach out to them on a personal level, and help them express their individuality. I also tend to prefer candid shots to posed portraits, letting the expression of the moment take center stage in the image captured.
